Scout! The Long Pajama Dream (Part 7)

 -Shopping mall 2F-

Mao; Ahaha. “What a warm welcome”? Since it’s a producer’s job to take care of idols, you’re happy to help?

Mao; You seem like you’re even pleased to help with odd jobs like this. Well, I’m the same way, so I understand.

Mao; When I’m busy, I feel like I’m needed~ Although it’s tough when I’m so busy I get overwhelmed…

Mao; Ah, I said something weird. Just forget about it~…. Eh?

Mao; “I went to a specialist and got a personalized pillow. Why don’t you try doing the same~”? You mean those popular custom-made pillows?

Mao; Hm… A custom pillow would be nice, but I think the price might be a little steep. Not that students don’t need them, they’re under a lot of stress.

Mao; There are some moderately-priced pillows over there? Alright, let’s head that way. I’ll try to get Ritsu’s attention~….

Mao; Yeah, I know. You’re going to say he’s not here, right?

Mao; He’s been evading me all day… I’ll go look by the display beds, so could you look in the pajama section?

Mao; This mall’s pretty big, so I’ll send you a message if I leave the store… This is the worst, should I ask them to make an announcement?

Mao; Whoa, don’t pull on me. You surprised me… Eh? Ritsu’s over at the cash register?

Mao; Let’s see… Oh, you’re right. Is he planning to finish paying and go home?

Mao; Ritsu!

Ritsu; …Maa-kun.

Mao; At least say something before you go off on your own. I was looking for you since you disappeared.

Ritsu; Maa-kun will always know where I am even if I don’t say anything. You found me this time too, right?

Mao; No, the one who found you was the transfer student, not me…

Mao; Anyway, if you don’t say anything I won’t know where you’ve gone. I’m not your mother, but mothers always need to know where their kids are going before they take off.

Ritsu; Maa-kun. Were you worried when you couldn’t see me?

Mao; Huh? Well, yeah. If I take my eyes off you, you disappear and I won't know what happened to you.

Ritsu; I see~, Maa-kun was worried about me. He got scared and was rushing around trying to find me….

Ritsu; He stopped trying to keep up appearances and only thought about me. Fufufu, what a nice feeling.

Mao; No, I wasn’t that panicked.

Mao; Honestly, you’re free to do what you want. You can pick out your own pillow and pay for it.

Mao; Speaking of which, what kind of pillow did you get? Show me, for reference.

Ritsu; Hm~, a soft and fluffy one.

Ritsu; Do you want to try it, Maa-kun? With this, you can sleep anywhere…

Mao; Are you planning to carry it around with you…?

Mao; It is a nice pillow, though. You're making me want to get one, so I’ll stop.

Mao; I don’t want to ask my parents for something too expensive. I’ll try to find one a little cheaper.

Ritsu; You should let your parents spoil you more, Maa-kun. You can follow my example.

Ritsu; Since Maa-kun spoils me so much, I can barely get dressed or eat on my own anymore. Aren’t you glad you have such a good role model nearby, Maa-kun~

Mao; Being spoiled that much is awful, it sounds like you need professional care.

Mao; …If I acted like that it would trouble my parents, so I think it would be best if I bought my own pillow.

Mao; Alright. Since I’m going to do this another day, why don’t we move on to what the transfer student is here for?

Mao; Hey, don’t give me that blank look. You didn’t forget, did you?

Mao; You came to buy pajamas, right? Only taking care of us and putting your own needs aside... Aren’t you thinking of others too much…?

Ritsu; Transfer student, you’re just like Maa-kun. You eat my baking and listen to what I have to say….

Ritsu; Ok, I’ll go with you. I was planning to go home once I was done, but I don’t want anyone to bother my Maa-kun, so I’ll have to guard him.

Mao; When did I become your property? If you say weird things I’ll leave you behind.

Arashi; ~…

Mika; Hey, Naru-chan. Y' seem t’ be in a good mood, didja find somethin’ nice?

Arashi; Mika-chan, look, look! What a cute negligee.. There’s so much lounge wear and pajamas, even just looking has me excited!

Mika; Ahaha. Naruchan, y’ like cute things, huh. I like cute things tooThis area’s only got girls’ things though, so don’t go gettin’ too excited.

Mika; Speakin’ a which, seems they’ve only got girls’ pajamas here…

Mika; Ain’t we a bit outta place? There’s girls starin’ at us, an’ we definitely stand out…

Arashi; Well, there aren’t any laws saying boys can’t look at girls’ products, are there?

Arashi; We might be thrown out if we were looking at lingerie, but if we’re questioned in the pajama section, we could just say we’re buying presents for our families, no?

Arashi; It’s almost mother’s day as well. I understand your worries, Mika-chan, but I don’t think anyone will be saying anything bad about us.

Arashi; Why don’t we wave at those girls? Yoohoo~

Mika; Wah, yer always ready for fanservice, huh Naru-chan?

Mika; They waved back, then turned red an’ got all excited… Were they yer fans?

Arashi; Hm, I wonder. I’d be pleased if they were… Hm?

Mao; Arashi? I think this is where the girls’ pajamas are… Guys' are over there. Do you want me to show you?

Arashi; Boys’ things only come in dull colours like black and grey. There’s nothing bright or vibrant, so it’s no fun to look around.

Arashi; Are you looking for girls’ pajamas, Mao-chan? I’ll pick some out for you

Mao; No, the one who’s looking is the transfer student, not me. Here, transfer student. I’ll be over there, so have a look around.

Arashi; Ah, transfer student-chan. Did you come to look for pajamas? Ufufu, let onee-chan pick something for you

Arashi; It’s no good to settle for any old thing just because you’ll be wearing it at home. You want to look stylish even when no one’s looking
